1. PVC / PU Belt Conveyors
Belt conveyors utilise a flat belt running on a flat fabricated steel deck or over rollers. The rollers are used when dealing with heavy products, or when long stretches of conveyor are required.
Belt conveyors consists of two powered pulleys with a continuous loop of belting material used to convey products. Belt conveyors are the most economical powered conveyor and are typically used for conveying products over long distances, at high speeds, or for incline/decline applications. The belt is supported completely by a steel frame and driven by a solid pulley. Tension is maintained by either an independent tension pulley or using an adjustable pulley on an idle end. Because each PVC, PU and rubber belt is uniquely manufactured, a belt conveyor has the maximum amount of flexibility in length or width for any transport conveyor. Belt exists in several varieties for different needs. Cold, heat, food environment. Gentle against the surface.
The belt conveyor is one of the most popular solutions used in virtually all branches of industry. They can accommodate irregular shaped and semi-solid items such as packages, bags or sacks containing powder or granular material, bundles or stacks of flexible material and single items of variable shape and size. This is an excellent conveyor type for handling items that may have loose strings or tapes attached that would otherwise get caught. Belt conveyors provide a smooth, efficient solution for situations where you need a change in elevation e.g. inter-floor situations or to receive or deliver products to a mezzanine level.
Unlike powered roller conveyors belt conveyors do not require the load to have a flat underside in order to gain traction. They are particularly useful for carrying small items that would otherwise fall between the gaps of a roller conveyor, plus their smooth movement is gentle on fragile products and reduces the likelihood of them toppling over.
1.1. Flat Belt Conveyor
Konek Technology has developed a complete line of slider bed conveyors to solve your material handling problems. Our customized variety in belt conveyors includes inclined flat and cleat belt that are designed to meet the defined process demand. Our standard conveyors are made from standard modules and are quick and simple to construct.
The most common belt conveyor is a flat belt conveyor. Level straight belt conveyors can provide an alternative to powered roller conveyors by using a PVC or similar belt for the simple transportation of a wide variety of items. Due to their versatility and affordability, belt conveyors are a good choice for moving regular or irregular shaped items, large or small, light or heavy packaging applications through manufacturing facilities. Belt conveyors transport products in a straight line, and are also effective in moving products through elevation changes.
They can be used in many types of material handling situations such as assembly line operations, sorting, packing, and inspection. Flat belt conveyors are being placed in front or behind a machine to bring or to remove a product to the machine, such as a packaging machine or assembly system.
They can be driven by a geared motor unit or for lighter duties by a motorised drum/roller. The belt typically runs on a slider bed, however for very long conveyors or where very high speeds are required the belt may run on top of a series of rollers. This reduces the overall amount of friction on the underside of the belt.
Plate bedding is recommended for short conveyors or for transport of light items. This conveyor is good for progressive assembly; sorting, and packing; inspection, inclines and declines. This conveyor is not recommended for use with bulk materials (i.e. powders). The belt helps maintain product spacing and orientation.
Roller bedding is recommended for lengths over 5 m. The belt over roller conveyor is a very versatile conveyor and very economical for long distances. The roller bed design reduces belt friction thus providing greater load capacity. The belt over roller bed conveyor can be used with pushers, sorter and plows.

1.2. Curved Belt Conveyor
Konek Technology belt curves combine top-class performance and reliability with an integrated design concept. Curved belt conveyors are made in modules; they are reliable, adaptable and can be easily integrated into most conveyor systems.
These conveyors are also equipped with a unique belt guiding system that makes performing maintenance or service work simple. The base frame consists of a stable welded steel construction (stainless steel as option).
They are applied, if the the original alignment of the goods during the conveying process has to be maintained. They are designed for stringent environments with continuous or clocked transportation of packages, containers, and packaged goods with changes in direction. The use of curve belt conveyors is mostly proven as part of a larger logistical system that needs to supply or transport products away. Even when high performance is required, i. e. for baggage handling systems or parcel services they are most suitable also in continuous operation. The curved belt conveyor is available in a variety of modular designs ranging from 30o to 180o angles, and in a wide range of standard measurements or customer-specific measurements for integration into new or existing systems. These curves make the most of available space, while Spiral curves also have the advantage of rapid elevation in a very small floor space.

1.3. Inclined Belt Conveyor
We offer a range of inclined belt conveyor that find application in handling of large and bulky material. Available in various specifications, these can also be customized as per the specific application needs of our clients. Constructed using precision engineered components, these are known for rugged construction and long service life.
Incline/decline straight belt conveyors are usually used for moving goods between floors within a building. Inclined and horizontal conveyors are manufactured and combined according to requirements. They provide a lower cost alternative to a goods lift often with the added benefit of a higher throughput. The use of ‘rough top’ belts enables traction between the elt and the goods to be maintained on a slope.
An elevating belt conveyor is used when bulk goods need to be transported to a higher elevation. The elevating belt conveyors are usually equipped with pushers or corrugated edge to prevent the goods from rolling/sliding back on the conveyor. Mostly the conveyor is made with a funnel on both sides to steer or store the products. Applications of elevating bags, plastic lids are only some of the examples.
